This year’s 47th edition of the popular Miami International Auto Show rolls into the Miami Beach Convention Center, September 9-17.

The multimillion-dollar renovation of the Miami Beach Convention Center, home to the auto show, continues with the completion expected in 2018.  The facility will soon offer 505,000 square feet of exhibit space, a new 60,000 square-foot grand ballroom and three junior ballrooms.  

In 2016, the Miami International Auto Show moved its dates to early September to accommodate the wishes of auto manufacturers who had during the years requested an earlier Miami auto show.  The results were overwhelmingly positive as major announcements were made by a host of auto lines that included Global debuts of the 2017 Nissan Rogue, 2017 Nissan Sentra and the 2017 Ford F-150 STX.

Hundreds of national and international journalists are expected to attend the Media Day activities which will be held the morning of Saturday, September 9th just prior to the public opening.   The festivities for media will officially kick-off with a Welcome Reception hosted by Mazda and the Miami International Auto Show on Friday, September 8 at a picturesque Miami Beach oceanfront hotel.

On Saturday, the Southern Automotive Media Association will present its Star of the Show, Sedan & Coupe of the Show, SUV of the Show and Pickup Truck of the Show awards during its annual Media Lunch presented by Hyundai.  

Organizers will again work with manufacturers to promote the auto show’s schedule of events such as Ride & Dives, celebrity appearances and other entertainment.  We look forward to working with exhibitors to assist them with their media-related activities throughout the entire show.
