Auto Enthusiasts Create Online Discussions at Miami International Auto Show

Social Media Program Promotes Crowd Favorites with #ILikeThatCar Campaign

There’s plenty to talk about at the Miami International Auto Show. With its more than 35,000 earned subscribers across various platforms, the Miami Auto Show’s social media program continues to encourage brand conversations.
With plenty of opportunities to engage and connect, attendees of the Auto Show are invited to interact with its Twitter and Instagram feed, which will be displayed on large screens throughout the showroom floor in real time.
A continuation of the successful 2012 program, visitors can once again share their favorite experiences by marking social interactions with the returning Auto Show hashtag “#ILikeThatCar.” Entries will be tallied and displayed daily, and manufacturers with top mentions will receive the “People’s Choice” award for the day, encouraging friendly competition among the brands featured at the show.
But it’s not just the manufacturers who will be under the social media spotlight. With contests and promotions running all day, interactive users are eligible for daily content contests, a program that show organizers issue to credit some of their most loyal Auto Show fans.
“Social Media allows us to recognize both the brands and the loyal fans who make our show such a lively experience,” said Cliff Ray, auto show coordinator. “We’re continuing to enhance the show’s look and feel each year, and with it bringing communication to another level.”
For those active users looking to join the conversation, the Miami International Auto Show runs Friday, November 8 – Sunday, November 17. Show hours and more information can be found on the Auto Show’s official website, www.miamiautoshow.net.
Admission to the show is $12 for adults, $6 children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under and may be ordered through the show’s website for a $1 convenience fee.
Discount tickets knocking $2 off the admission price are available while supplies last at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties and new car and truck dealerships throughout South Florida. They may also be requested through the auto show’s website.
The South Florida Automobile Dealers Association, which is comprised of more than 190 dealerships in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, is the official sponsor of the Miami International Auto Show, which debuted in 1971.
