Award-Winning Convertibles Featured at 46th Annual Miami Auto Show


Miami, FL – Who likes convertibles?  Thats an easy question to answer!  Everyone.

No vehicle represents the South Florida lifestyle better than a drop top and the Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally will again showcase award-winning convertibles from the annual competition sponsored by the Southern Automotive Media Association (SAMA). 

The SAMA competition held this past June invites regional automotive journalists to test drive and rank the best new convertibles. This year, SAMA will have the six category winners on display inside the Miami Beach Convention Center throughout the Miami Auto Show, September 10-18. 


Prize winners on display are expected to include the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (Super Luxury/Exotic and Convertible of the Year), Mazda MX-5 Miata (Small Convertible), Chevrolet Camaro  (Performance Full-Size), Mercedes-Benz SLC43 (Performance Roadster), Hyundai Genesis (Panoramic Luxury) and Chrysler Pacifica (Panoramic Affordable).

SAMA is an organization of automotive journalists, representatives of media organizations, corporate communications specialists, marketing and advertising representatives, and auto manufacturers related to South Florida’s dynamic automotive industry.

The Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally is among the largest nationally and runs September 10-18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and $6 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.  Discount tickets offering $2 off the admission price are available while supplies last at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties and new car and truck dealerships throughout South Florida.
