Miami International Auto Show Cancelled

It was announced today that the 47th annual Miami International Auto Show will be cancelled for this year due to Hurricane Irma. The Auto Show was officially scheduled to run from September 9 -17 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

“It marks the first time in 47 years that the Auto Show has been cancelled,” said Cliff Ray, show coordinator.  “It’s important at this time that our community focus all of its energies on providing assistance to those impacted by this monster storm.  We understand and fully support the decision to cancel which was made by leaders in the City of Miami Beach.”

Ray added, that the effects of Hurricane Irma made it impossible to consider re-scheduling the Auto Show for this later this year.

The South Florida Automobile Dealers Association, which comprise more than 190 dealerships in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, presents the Miami International Auto Show, which debuted in 1971.
