Miami International Auto Show Gives Back to Community

Miami International Auto Show Gives Back to Community

Miami, FL – October 20, 2014 – The 44th Annual Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally Auto is proud to once again present $15,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.  This year’s donation brings the total during the years to nearly $320,000. Ronald McDonald House® (RMH) is a temporary "home-away from home®" for families to find rest, support and time away from realities of the hospital procedures and routines. The Miami House opened its doors in 1981 and is located on the campus of the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The South Florida Automobile Dealers Association, presenters of the Miami International Auto Show, is an advocate of philanthropy, benefitting various organizations since the show’s opening in 1971.  For more than 40 years, the Association has donated more than $7 million to numerous charities that also include Joe DiMaggio Hospital, YMCA, Alzheimer’s Association Sheridan House, Museum of Art, American Cancer Society, Historic Society of Fort Lauderdale, and others.

“Charitable giving in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties remains a primary focus of our Association,” said Richard Baker, president of the dealers group. “That is why the Miami International Auto Show continues to strive in making an impact on the community it serves by partnering with incredible organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  We are proud of our relationships we have maintained for over 40 years.”

The Miami International Auto Show is among the largest nationally and takes place Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 16, 2014. Admission to the show is $15 for adults, $6 children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under.
