New Lexus RC F Official Show Car of 2015 Miami Auto Show

New Lexus RC F Official Show Car of 2015 Miami Auto Show

Miami, FL – With 467 horsepower and enough torque to get you from zero-to-60 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds, the RC F represents the most powerful Lexus V8 performance car ever.

Lexus calls it a jolt to the eyes, and you will have the opportunity for a close-up look at this high performance coupe when it serves as the Official Show Car of the 45th annual Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally.

Developed alongside the new RC sports coupe, the RC F is a more striking version of the RC with wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, air scoops, cooling ducts and available carbon fiber components. Stacked exhaust tailpipes give it an even more distinctive appearance.

The 5.0-liter V8 engine is mated to a close-ratio eight-speed Sports Direct Shift transmission with available Torque Vectoring Differential that allows for the wheels to grip the road for better launch and handling. The transmission control program delivers a more linear response to accelerator input, and hence a more dynamic feeling.

Designed to excel on the track, the RC F also provides all-day comfort on the road. Special integrated foaming construction helps the seats conform to a persons body, and the high-back design with integrated headrests and side bolsters provides optimum support for the back when cornering and additional shoulder support in high-g driving.

The drivers seat is power-adjustable 10 ways, the passengers eight ways, and includes power lumbar support and three-position memory for the driver and front passenger.

Even though the sound from the RC Fs tailpipes is sure to turn heads, Lexus has made the cabin quiet enough to enable enjoyment of the standard premium sound system or the stunning Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound system. The driver can control enhanced exhaust, intake and mechanical sounds within the cabin via the Active Sound Control system.

Though built on the same wheelbase as the RC Coupe, the RC F is slightly lower (0.2 inches), wider (0.2 inches), and longer (.04 inches) thanks to distinctive flared and laser-brazed wheel arches and the rear aerodynamic devices. Wider, lower-profile tires give the RC F an even more aggressive look.

The modifications are not just for looks. Every design feature of the RC F comes with an aerodynamic benefit. A continuous flow from the hood and front fender through to the belt line emphasizes the crouching nature and contributes to airflow.

Be sure to check out this dream car at the Miami International Auto Show presented by Ally. The show is among the largest nationally and runs Nov. 6-15 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $6 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.
